365 Day Photo Challenge for Saturday ~ July 31st, 2010 till Friday ~ August 6th, 2010.

Hi everyone...Did you have a good week? I had a good week. Things are still a little difficult at home, but getting better...I'm trusting God to work it out even though it still hurts at times. My dad is a sweet man and I love him lots... :) :) :) He forgets that I'm a grown woman sometimes..but I still need to love/respect him...because how I treat him,...well, I want to treat him well...and I think that'll carry over into how I treat my husband some day. Does that make sense?

Oh, my goodness...this week was not very good for taking photos. I only got photos for three days. So what I ended up doing was creating some collages from photos I had taken previously.  Next week will have fresh photos.

My dad is so sweet because he's going to "build" me a little table for the mouse and mousepad to the computer...so that I don't have to lift my arm too high.  It's been doing a number on the muscles that go from my shoulder to my neck. What a nice dad!!! Oh, and I'm under strict instructions not to say anything until I've tried out the new idea!!! OH....I love the new idea...Oh, it's so simple...He just put the computer mouse and the mousepad on a chair..no table was needed..and it was free, made from stuff in our home. Oh, sweet relief for my aching shoulder/neck  :) :) :)

Here are my photos for this weeks photo challenge...

Saturday ~ July 31st, 2010 Hydrangeas. There were multiple colors all sprouting from the same bush. This particular one had blues and purples ;) :) :)

Substitute photo for Sunday ~ August 1st, 2010...I learned how to use the collage feature on Picasa to display more than one photo at a time :) :) So cool...and I even made the center photo black & white with a touch of color!!!

Substitute photo for Monday ~ August 2nd, 2010. This is the Segway business that my friend owns in Jacksonville, Oregon.  The original house was built in the latter half of the 1800s.

Tuesday - August 3rd, 2010

Substitute photo for Wednesday ~ August 4th, 2010. These are some flowers that I photographed in Lithia Park in Ashland, Oregon.

Thursday ~ August 5th, 2010 Oh, my friend Cindy over at "Whimsicle Musings" made this beautiful tag for me as a surpise. It even has the letter "H" for Heather ;) :) Thanks for the sweet gift, Cindy. Click here to view her blog. She also writes the blog "I Owe It All To Him" You can find that blog button on my sidebar :) :) :)

Substitute photo for Friday ~ August 6th, 2010...These are some shots of Jacksonville, Oregon. I changed the center one to black and white and the rest to sepia tones!!!

WELCOME TO: natkoplovsky. If you have a blog, could you send me the link or add it to your Google account? Then I can update this post, so people can come visit you.  Otherwise, I'm glad that you have joined my blog :) :) :) Thanks!!!!!

Well that's about it for today. There are some cool giveaways happening over at some of my friends blogs. So I'll make sure to talk about that this weekend. You know I LOVE giveaways. It doesn't matter who wins...it's fun just to enter!!!

I'm so thankful for being able to go back to work for Harry & David for the Christmas holiday season.  There are some logistics that need to be settled by Sunday, so pray for those.  It'll be nice to have a regular paycheck..but the timing is a little off, so it's throwing off my budget a little bit.  Pray that God will meet the few needs that I need to get taken care of before I go back to work. Plus, pray that I'll have a grateful attitude at work..and that I can be someone who spreads joy in the workplace!!! Oh, and no gossip...lots of ladies in a single room sometimes means gossip...so I don't want to fall prey or participate in it either!!! Pray for strength in that area too!! Thanks for being the kind of people I can share some prayer requests with...that's awesome.

Okay...I finished my laundry for today. I watched Perry Mason "The Case of the Wrongful Writ"..and now I'm finished with another post!!! I also read John Chapter 6 and part of chapter 7 today.  Some days it's really easy/joyful to spend time reading my Bible. Other days I feel like I have to drag myself to God's Word like a thirsty person crawls to an oasis in the desert...but the point is that I'm there...so that's where I'm at...but I don't regret coming to God's Word and reading that for comfort!!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!! Lots of love and hugs to you all!!!  That's the news from Oregon today, Heather :) :) :)

Hi Heather,
I was so surprised to see the tag!!! Thanks so much for posting it--that was so sweet! The cardboard on the back was just for mailing--it will remove really easily because I put a couple of glue dots on the back of the tag...

I'm having a Link Party today and all I'm asking is for people to post their favorite song and link it up...
you're welcome to join in!
Hugs,
Cindy
P.S. So neat about your dad and the desk!

I'm sorry you are having problems with your neck/arm and with your dad. I'll be in prayer for you.

As an adult woman under her father's roof, I can only imagine the difficult position you are in at times.

I love the hydrangea photos. Of course, I love hydrangeas, so it's no surprise I find those photos beautiful.

Also, the Jacksonville, Oregon photo is SO neat. Since you used sepia tones, it really looks like a vintage photo. LOVE it.

Did I tell you, we love Perry Mason too...though my favorite old TV show is The Fugitive. You might not believe this, but there is an old movie I really like called The Blue Gardenia. And Raymond Burr is a drunken womanizer...a far cry from the Perry Mason we know and love.

I'm excited for you about your job. I'm sure you will be a bright light in your workplace.

Blessings and hugs,
Patti

PS I got a beautiful tag from Cindy as well. I'm using it for tomorrow's Pink Saturday post.

Hi everyone....I did my first aerobic workout in over a year. Today I popped in Richard Simmons' Boogie Down to the Oldies or something like that...it was all 1970s disco music...really fun!! I feel good...tired, but good tired!!!

@Cindy - Of course, I'd post the tag. I promised you a photo when I received it :) :) :) Oh okay...thanks for the info on the cardboard backing. I thought that was part of the tag!!! I still can't think of a favorite song...My dad ended up using a chair, a large hardcase for storing planner pages, and a little bit of wood. Now it's just right!!!...and FREE...it didn't cost any money!!!

@Patti/A Hopeful Heart - the workout I did with that Richard Simmons DVD seemed to help. My shoulder/neck area is still sore, but not as much. I think that the aerobic exercise helped some by getting the circulation going :) :) :)
Yes, I love my dad, but you said it just right how I feel sometimes...being an adult woman living under my dad's roof...especially since when I moved out of the house, I was 20 and I moved to Europe all at the same time..and I was 32 years old when I went back to live with him. It's challenging...but I still have to honor him because God says so...and that's a challenge :) :) Thanks for understanding :) :) :)
Hydrangeas...there are never too many :) :) I love them too now!!!
glad you liked all the photos :) :) I think you did mention Perry Mason and The Fugitive before :) :) Doesn't Perry Mason remind you of the cartoon version of the American Eagle? I think if he were a bird, he'd be an eagle :) :) :) I'm excited to be working, too!!! I'll be able to pay off some bills, hopefully put something aside for savings etc :) :)

@Jill - thanks :) :) I love collages and this week I needed extra photos...there just wasn't anything I felt worth hotographing..so the collages are nice. It's really fun to experiment!!! Thanks for your prayers!!!

Everyone...thank you so much for writing and leaving comments. I really love reading each and every one!!!! Have a great weekend. Lots of love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Hey Heather.. Good point you made on my blog, about the Karate Kid, but they learnt Kung fu.. I never thought about it..lol
There isnt much to do there other than look at the animals.. the dogs are all in cages, but the cats are mostly running free. I too am a cat person :) we dont go often cause it is sad to leave and leave them all there, but we have 2 cats already and 1 gold lab. So we dont need any more animals.. be we got to feed the geese and that was fun,,it is just real pretty out there..
Thanks for the complement as well, about not looking like a grandma,, I guess i come from good genes.. my parents never looked their age either.. so I will take those complements as long as i can..
50 is just a few years away.. but I love my age,,
Well didnt mean to write a book, just wanted to chat with you and thank you for the wonderful comments that you leave.. you are sweet heart..
Well have a great weekend,, and I will be in touch real soon. God Bless

Your dad sounds like a creative person. I'm glad he's come up with a solution to help your computer use less painful for you!

You're doing great with those collages! Congratulations on figuring it all out. Great pictures, too.

I will pray for the logistics of your job. Your resolve not to engage in gossip, etc. is noble and pleases God.

Guess the weekend is going fast. Hope it is a productive and relaxing one for you.

Hi everyone...thanks for visiting me :) :) It's been a good Saturday. I was going to post something today, but I think I'll wait until Sunday!!!

@Karen - I've never been to a pet shelter. I'm not sure I could stand it...only because seeing all those cute furry faces...I wouldn't be able to leave, either!!!!
Yeah, you definitely don't look like a grandmother...that's not saying that grandmother's look bad or anything..not at all :) :) :) I think I'm going to age well, too, if my parents and grandparents are any indiccation :) :) Oh, you can write a book on my blog anytime :) :) :) I enjoy your comments...short or long :) :) :)

@Whidbey Woman - I'll make sure an check out your blog today :) :) There are a few blogger friends here that all live in the Northwest!!! It's really cool...especially when they post photos :) :)

@Rebecca - Yeah, he's creative...He always can make what he needs from stuff he has at home...the poor bookcases though have all sorts of holes and things drilled into them :) :) ..but it works and the bookshelves haven't fallen apart either :) :)
The collages are loads of fun. Thanks!!!
Yeah...bout the gossip...some of my coworker friends engage in that a lot and it was really annoying and also set a negative tone for work...which was harder if other people were being negative...so I'm definitely going to avoid that this season!!! Your continued prayers are much appreciated!!!

Have a great weekend everyone. Do something craft this weekend...or something outdoors!!!

Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

I have been praying for you and your father the the Lord would give you both strength through those hard times and the peace which passes all understanding! :) YES, I heartily agree that by you now submitting to your father, no matter what age is vital to having a strong relationship with your father, and your future husband! Keep at it and my God bless your efforts!

@Kim/A Gypsy Angel - Thanks!!! I'll make sure to stop by for a visit ;) :)

@Valrie - I'm really looking forward to sending some cookies and writing letters!! I love to write letters. When I'm working at Harry & David...I get calls on occassion from mom's wanting to send gifts to their sons/daughters in Afghanistan. They're always sad when I tell them we can't send fruit...for obvious reasons..but we do have cookies and other goodies :) :)

Have a lovely week. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
