PLEASE PRAY FOR MY SWEET DADDY!!!!

Update:  I called the ICU a little bit ago...about 10:30 p.m. on Friday evening tonight.  They are gradually letting him warm up/helping him to regain consciousness.  The nurse said he did open his eyes and wriggle his toes...and I"ve never been so happy in my entire life. That is a very good sign.  Please continue to keep him, myself and my aunt in your prayers.  I'm really tired...need some sleep...but thanks for the prayers. They make a difference.  Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather

p.s. I'm very lucky to have my aunt here, good friends and neighbors!!!!!
Hi everyone,

I am asking you to pray for my daddy today!!!  I'm going to make this brief...shortly before 3:30 p.m. yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, I heard my dad scream. He was upstairs in his room, I was downstairs making tea.  I called his name multiple times and he wasn't responding. When I went upstairs, he was slumped over to the right in his chair, unresponsive and purple...He wasn't repsonding to my voice or my touch.  I called 911 right away. They were here at the house in less than two minutes.

It wasn't a heart attack. It was not his pacemaker. They don't know what caused his heart to fibrillate.  He's in  a medically induced coma right now...and they may wake him up/warm him up out of that today.

Please pray for him...pray for me, because I'm having a hard time keeping it together. Pray for my aunt (his sister). She'll be flying in this afternoon.  That's all I feel like sharing right now. There are things that I need help with now. I've got fantastic neighbors helping me...and my dad will need more care when he wakes up. Pray that he will not be afraid or too disoriented, because I"m not even sure if he was aware of what has happened to him. Please pray!!!

Thank you.  I may update from time to time on my blog, but other posts will have to wait.

Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

Oh, my sweet friend, my heart is with you right now. You are in my prayers, as is your dad. May God give the doctors wisdom as to how to treat him...and may he respond positively to the treatment and be restored to radiant good health.

Love and hugs,
Patti

So sorry to hear this. Perhaps his pacemaker malfunctioned. My husband had one and it had to be checked regularly. I pray he will be fine in time. Dig deep and find the strength you have.

Sweet Heather, As soon as I saw your request I started praying...and will continue all day. Now...take a deep breath and know that the Words of Christ to the waves were "Peace, be still". He will give you peace in this storm. Don't worry, trust the Hand of God who made each of us. He alone knows best...
Hugging you and sitting beside you in Spirit,
Doni

Sweet heather,

You and your father are most definitely in my prayers! I am so sorry that this is happening and pray for the Lord's healing for your father and for the doctors to find out what is going on as well as strength and comfort for you!

Isaiah 26:3 I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Me and trusts in Me.

Heather take care of you too! I know your dad is in good hands. ICU trained medical personnel are very quick to respond and care for patients. Your dad is in good hands. It brings back memories of my own dad. 39 days on ICU! What a time in our lives that was! Unsure how I managed but I believe the Lord was doing all the big stuff! Love and Hugs Anns
