My 24th Tea Pot and Tea Things Tuesday & Tea Time Tuesday for December 28th

Here's a really sweet tea cup that I had purchased at a yardsale last summer.  I still have the ribbon tied to the handle. Doesn't it make it look so much sweeter and more feminine?

Hi everyone,  Here's my entry for tea today. So today I'm sharing a recipe for "feel better" tea :) :) Why? Well, I went home early from work because I wasn't feeling good.  I have a minor form of ulcerative colitis called "ulcerative proctitis" Every once in awhile I have what I call "bad" days. This was one of them. So I decided to go home and I'm taking it easy. Here's my recipe for "feel good" tea:

One bag of chamomile tea (or tea of your choice)
A super cute cup
Add some boiling water
Have Daddy or  nearest beloved relative give you a great big hug
Rest and enjoy the tea....

See, don't you feel better already? That's the news from Oregon today. Love and hugs, Heather :)

Hello sweet Heather.....
What a sweet cup.........love the little ribbon on the handle........my kind of thing.......you made me smile when I thought of you getting a hug from your Daddy......my real Dad has been gone for a long time and my step Dad died this last March........so when I heard you got a hug from yours it warmed my heart. It is wonderful to have a good relationship with our parents.........I just went last night to see my Momma......she is in a nursing home and has Alzheimer's. Not fun.......but I GET TO HUG HER! That makes a difference. So sweet friend......thanks for being YOU and this wonderful post today because........if I could I would give you a BIG HUG.......and sit and drink chamomile tea from one of your pretty cups if I could! Now that is a happy thought!
Hugs from my farm to your HOME!
Linda

I see you and Linda are planning a tea time together! I want to come! Hi Heather in Oregon! Happy New Year! I am so happy to visit you. Trying to catch up. This post reminds me of my late mom. She grew the chammomille flower in our yard so we could have fresh brewed tea. She dried the flower heads in our kitchen windowsill and brewed this delicious feel good tea. I am off to brew a cup for me tonight. Love and Hugs Anne

Happy New Year, Heather! From your previous photo challenge post, I see you've been busy with the knitting needles! (I THINK it's knitting, not crochet, right?) I'm quite jealous. I especially love those knit footies to wear as houseslippers! They keep one's feet so warm.

Hoping your year is off to a good and happy start. I look forward to many great posts from you in 2011!

Good evening, Heather! Happy New Year. I haven't been to your blog in awhile and have very much missed it! I just put it on my 'favorites' list ... so beautiful! Sorry to hear you have not been freeling well. Hope the cup of tea helped. A cup of tea is my remedy for EVERYTHING! Have a wonderful day. xoxo cathi (the Mountain Farmgirl)

Hi Heather, Your tea cup is lovely, Heather. So feminine looking. I hope the hug and the chamomile tea in your super cute cup helped you to feel better! You asked about the china pattern in my first tea photo. It's Regent by Heinrich H & C. To get a better look at the pattern, click here: http://foodasart-beth.blogspot.com/2010/02/tablescape-thursday-formal-dinner-for.html
That china belonged to my mother-in-law; interestingly enough, my mother also has this same pattern! It must have been popular in the 1950s(?). Have a wonderful week, Heather!

I like hot tea. I think I must get a special cup to enjoy it. Sam & I enjoy a cup together from time to time. When he is not feeling well he likes his hot tea. You had asked if my floors are real wood? Yes they are. The wood floor sections were taken out of an old sewing factory when it was converted into a machine shop. It took a lot to clean & sand. They are older than me. My Gram & Mom worked in the sewing factory. Mom was expecting me. Years later I worked in the machine shop. The wood got a new home in the homestead. Always a good story behind most things here at the homestead. I wish you a Happy New Year & Blessings!
