HOW WAS YOUR DAY TODAY?

THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN  LAST MONDAY. IT SEEMS LIKE I DON'T GET OUT MUCH LATELY, SO I TAKE PHOTOS OF THE SAME THING. THAT'S OKAY. OREGON IS GORGEOUS  :) :)

Hi everyone, How are you doing so far this week? I 've been doing really well  :) :)  This is just a random sidenote, but does anyone notice that irksome little fibre in the upper left hand corner of my photo?  I'm not sure how it got there. It's in the camera. I tried cleaning it, but it keeps coming back. oh well, it gives my photos character...ahem :) : ) :)

I just wanted you all to know that I'm still alive and you aren't forgotten :) :) I called a local community health clinic. I have an appointment in April to have a doctor look at my sh oulder and see if there's something else wrong besides just bursitis.  So be praying for that, because my shoulder bothers me everyday. It's been a real time of learning to  watch how I speak. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks, right?  So it's important, even in ti mes like this, that we  speak words of truth, faith, grace etc :) :)

What else?  I watched the premier of Secret Millionaire on tv last Sunday with Dani Johnson. It was awesome!!! she's a Christian lady and I've been familiar with her story for awhile now. One of the things I've been challenged is how I"m going to give back.  So it's exciting and scary...but I"m happy to see what God will do. I'll keep you updated on that.

Let's see, God's been really teaching me some good lessons about money this week. ...mainly, how it's HIS money first, not mine.  It's really easy to say it's mine, especially when it gets tough...but you know what?  I've never been disapointed when I obeyed God :) :) So that's something to talk about in another post as well :) :) :)

I hope you all are having a great week so far ;) :) You are always welcome to visit here :) :) I read all of your comments. It's a joy for me ;) :)

Oh,  my church is having a big yard sale at the end of April. I was trying to figure out how I could sell some of the stuff I didn't want anymore. However, one of the things I felt led to do this week is donate it all to the church yard sale. My church is so little, but they do a lot to help the church folk and people in the co mmunity. So that's where I want my "unwanted" but still good stuff to go...to bless others :) :) :)  It turns out it's part of a city-wide yard sale. Can you imagine? You know I LOVE me a good yard sale. So this will be a time of  practicing financial restraint :) :) I'll be sure to have my camera with me :) :)

That's the new from Oregon tonight :) :) Extra love and hugs, Heather :)

Glad things are going well! I hope all turns out o.k. for your shoulder. Sorry to hear it is still causing you pain. My husband had the same problem and x rays didn't show anything, so they did an mri and found out he had a torn rotator cuff (sp?) He may eventually need surgery if they can't get it to heal on it's own.
I'm a big fan of yard sales, going to them and HAVING them! Great way to earn extra $$.

Hope you are having a great day!!

Blessings,
Jill

@Parsley - Thank you :) :) I've noticed it doesn't hurt anywhere near as much in the morning as it does later in the day. So I'm tryin g to rest when I can..but I also want to know if there's something I"m doing to aggravate it. I didn't injure it..at least not that I'm aware of..

@Jill - wow, a torn rotator cuff? I've heard that can som etimes be the cause of shoulder pain. I hope your husband's shoulder heals naturally!!! I hav en't done anything to injure it, that I'm aware of...but yeah they did x-rays with me. The physician's assisant said it was bursitis. I'm going to see about them testing my thyroid.

I'm going to go nuts at that yard sale :) :) I'm going to start gathering my stuff to sell. Th is will be a really good chance to clean out the house :) :)

Thanks for visiting me today ladies :) :) Extra love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Oh, I hope you get some answers with regard to your shoulder. It's really hard to live with chronic pain, especially when it often limits your ability to use that arm. I had an issue with my left shoulder about 6 years ago. It felt like a pinched nerve, but it never got better. Bothered me for 2 years, then all of a sudden it was gone. I never knew what was wrong.

I'm excited that yard sale season will soon be here...probably about 6 weeks. I've been going into withdrawals!!

Have a great day.

Love,
Patti

Practicing financial restraint seems to be the mantra of my life as our kids private school fees are the equivalent of college/univ tuition....I'm serious. The govt (public) schools in Cape Town vary in their standards (academic, sport, cultural) and some have class sizes over 30!!

Re: your post the other day re getting up at 6:35 am.....that's late for most of us South African moms. I'm 53 and have never been a "morning person", but as the school buses are few & far between, I'm in the traffic at 6:45 am to take my teenage daughter to high school. AHHH! Son is at univ a short distance from home but he lives there. I think my ideal waking up time would be around 8:00 am. It's a wonder I make it the 20 mins each way to daughter's school & back as many times I'm in a dream-state. LOL! So, if you're up at 6:35 am again, I'll think of you, Heather, as I'm stumbling around hoping husband will take pity on me and do the school run drive more than his obligatory once/week....(he does work in the complete opposite direction from the school, so it's not really fair and I either work from home or close to daughter's school teaching).
